Guest River Gorge Trail

The Guest River Gorge trail is an accessible out-and-back trail that follows the old Norfolk/Southern railroad bed for 5.5 miles. This graveled rail-trail has great views of tall cliffs, waterfalls, and goes through an old railroad tunnel. The original railroad was used for hauling coal mined near the gorge. Though the ties were removed, its trestles and tunnel remain. This trail is popular all year round. Open to foot traffic and bicycles.
